Your house and separate structures are covered for almost every type of damage except for common exclusions mentioned on your policy. Attached structures are covered and separate structures are covered up to 10% of the coverage on your home. Higher limits are always available for an additional premium.
Personal Property
Your personal property, such as your possessions inside your home, will be covered anywhere from 55% to 70% of the amount coverage on your house. Personal property away from the premises is also covered (percentage dependent on your policy).
Loss of Use/Additional Coverages
If you are unable to live in your home after a covered loss, you are covered for the additional cost of living in hotels, meals, etc. The percentage of coverage is dependent upon your policy. In addition, you will be reimbursed for any loss of rents.
Personal Liability
This coverage pays for bodily injuries to other people, damage to their property, and defense costs for yourself.

Auto Coverage
Auto insurance can seem confusing. But once you understand the different types of coverages that make up your policy, it’s not hard at all. Your auto insurance is really a package of seven primary coverages. Taken together, these coverages make up a standard auto policy. Each of these coverages has its own separate premium. Your premium payment is the total of these separate premiums.
Bodily Injury Liability
1st
Part of the most basic coverage required by law for you to drive in California. Covers other people's bodily injuries or death for which you are responsible. It also provides for a legal defense if another party in the accident files a lawsuit against you. In the event of a serious accident, you want enough insurance to cover a
judgment against you in a lawsuit, without jeopardizing your personal assets. Bodily injury liability covers injury to people, not your vehicle. Therefore, it's a good idea (and usually a company requirement) to have the same level of coverage for all of your cars. Bodily Injury Liability does NOT cover you or other people on your policy.
Property Damage Liability
2nd
Part of the most basic coverage required by law for you to drive in California. Covers you if your car damages someone else's property. Usually it is their car, but it could be a fence, a house or any other property damaged in an accident. It also provides you with legal defense if another party files a lawsuit against you. It is a good idea to purchase enough of this insurance to cover the amount of damage your car might do to another vehicle or object. Coverage is limited to the terms and conditions contained in the policy.
Comprehensive Coverage
Covers your vehicle, and sometimes other vehicles you may be driving for losses resulting from incidents other than collision. For example, comprehensive insurance covers damage to your car if it is stolen; or damaged by flood, fire, or animals. Pays to fix your vehicle less the deductible you choose. To keep your premiums low, select as high a deductible as you feel comfortable paying out of pocket. Coverage is limited to the terms and
conditions contained in the policy. This is not required by a state, but if you have a loan or a lease then the lien holder will require it.
Collision Coverage
Covers damage to your car when your car hits, or is hit by, another vehicle, or other object. Pays to fix your vehicle less the deductible you choose. To keep your premiums low, select as large a deductible as you feel comfortable paying out of pocket. For older cars, consider dropping this coverage, since coverage is normally limited to the cash value of your car. Coverage is limited to the terms and conditions contained in the policy. This is not required by a state, but if you have a loan or a lease then the lien holder will require it.
Uninsured Motorist Property Damage
Covers your auto when property damage is sustained by an insured and the negligent operator does not possess insurance. Given the large number of uninsured motorists, this is very important coverage to have, even in states with no-fault insurance.
Uninsured Motorist Bodily Injury
Covers you, the insured members of your household and your passengers for injuries, damages, or death caused by the negligence of a person with insufficient insurance. If you have an accident with a person whose coverage cannot meet your damages, your policy will meet the difference-up to the limit of liability listed on your policy . Given the large number of uninsured motorists, this is very important coverage to have, even in states with
no-fault insurance.
Medical Payments
Covers medical expenses to you and your passengers injured in an accident. There may also be coverage if as a pedestrian a vehicle injures you. Does NOT matter who is at fault. Medical payments may also cover policyholders and their family members when they are injured while riding in someone else's car or when they are hit by a car while on foot or bicycling. Coverage is limited to the terms and conditions contained in the policy.
Rental
Covers renting a car if your car isn't drivable or while your car is being repaired because of a covered accident.
General Liability
As a business owner you know how critical it is to protect yourself against the liability you assume simply by inviting the public to your events.
Liability insurance will insure you against lawsuits for accidents and/or injury that might happen as a result of your normal business operations. Liability will protect you from payments for bodily injury or property damage to a third party, the cost of defending lawsuits, investigation and settlements, and for any bonds or judgments required during an appeal procedure.
Liability Insurance can be provided at a fraction of the cost of what it might cost should you be sued.
Even if you have been the most diligent in removing all possible hazards from your business operations, you can still be successfully sued for accidents resulting from something as simple as a careless patron. General Liability is your last line of defense against a claim for circumstances in which you have little or no control.

This coverage gives you a peace of mind after all the planning and preparation your event has taken. With perils that cover terrorism resulting in damage to the venue, facility fire, hurricane, power outage, loss of equipment, airline delays, illness to an artists, weather (if policy is purchased at least 7 days prior to the event) as well as other various perils.

Equipment & Business Property / Personal Articles Floater
This policy insures your equipment and office contents on a replacement cost basis against a broad range of perils including fire, theft, vandalism, hurricane, etc. Equipment you own as well as equipment you rent can be insured. In addition, equipment you rent to others can be insured as well.
The insurable value should include the total value of rented equipment, props, sets and wardrobe from all vendors. Owned equipment should be covered for the cost to replace your equipment.
Camera, sound, lighting, and miscellaneous rented and/or owned equipment as well as props, sets and wardrobe are just some examples of the types of property that can be covered.
Weather Insurance
Do no let weather put a damper on your special event. Weather insurance is a great protection for your expenses as well as for potential earning income, whether your event is indoors or outdoors.
Rain, snow, lighting, wind, temperature, fog, and even sunshine are all examples of the perils you are able to insure with weather insurance.
Accidental Medical Insurance
As an event planner, your know that Liability Insurance is probably not the only coverage you should have to make sure that your event is properly covered. You should also consider Accidental Medical Insurance. This covers expenses incurred by a participant or spectator for services recommended and approved by a physician, which result from an injury.
This coverage gives you the option to insure event participants, spectators, volunteers, and event staff, but you may cover all of these in one single policy.
Accidental Medical Insurance, unlike liability insurance is payable without regard to fault. Liability insurance will pay these expenses only if you were somehow liable for the accident; accidental medical insurance does not. This coverage is to “make whole” the injured party for out of pocket medical costs in the event of an accident.
Vendor & Exhibitor Liability Coverage
If you are planning to sell or exhibit your product at arts and crafts shows, conventions, trade shows, fair or festivals, you probably know that you may be required to provide proof of liability coverage either by the venue, the event promoter or both.
